L.A. four piece garage rockers Bird Concerns have just released their new single, “The Monster”, Comprised of Marcus Buser on bass, Jake Sucher and Travis Meador’s guitar and Cooper Wolken’s drumming, Bird Concerns also features vocals from all four bandmates. While they have toured the west coast, we are hopeful that Bird Concerns will soon be spreading worldwide. Bird Concerns brings freshness and authenticity to this rocking, yet easy-going track.
“The Monster” concerns everyone’s battles with their inner demons, and how we handle them. With fantastic guitar and drums, Bird Concerns provides not only an instrumentally pleasing experience, but also some great (not to mention comforting) lyrics, like “you are not the monster inside your head”. Because “The Monster” concerns situations that many, if not most people go through, anyone who listens to it will be able to make a connection with the track. By being honest and vulnerable, while making such a subject approachable in a song, Bird Concerns has accomplished no small feat, and we are impressed. We’re looking forward to hearing more raw tracks, stunning vocals, and well-designed instrumentals from Bird Concerns.
Keep up with Bird Concerns

Brooklyn based singer siren Emmy Wildwood breaks out of the pop box that fans and listeners have latched onto with incredible force. Since the beginning of Wildwood’s career in 2013, she has defied all limits of the genre by bringing heavy hooks and an experimental style that is unique to her sound. Listening to music produced by this artist has been described as a mystic and lush while it also explores some of the more unfamiliar areas of the industry. Vocally, Wildwood has a past in performing with punk bands, but later broke away from that mold in order to use her inventive spirit to turn heads. As she stepped into the spotlight with a swagger unique to her own style, heads of fans and critics alike were turned.
Most recently, after spending several years to write her second album, she returned last year with her single, “Scream” as well as several mash-ups of some of the most recognized songs in the pop industry. While working on these projects, she has hopped on board with fellow indie pop act Bredhal in order to add a fresh, new dynamic to her repertoire. Not only has she come back with the full force of her vocals, but she has also returned with the full support of expecting fans and critics. With new work out and more coming soon, Billboard has raved, “you’re going to want to check this out.”

Today, Kings & Associates brings their unique blend of soul, funk, blues and folk to a colorful peak with the music video for “Deadwood”, and we’ve got your first look. Taking place in what looks to be a recording studio, the band is able to showcase their talents in a live performance-type scenario, while playing out a quirky timeline in the background. The coloring is warm, vibrant, and lends itself perfectly to a sound of a similar kind. The guitar work is electrifying, so make sure you don’t miss this one!

After releasing their single “Chorus”, front man Nate Cardaci of Literature decided that he would assemble a band that would act as an outlet for songs of a similar vibe. This is what brought about the birth of one of the newest groups to enter the indie-dream pop scene. Along with several other members from the original Literature group such as Steven Garcia and Seth Whaland as well as recruiting new friends such as synth player Ian Jensen. With this new lineup the newly formed Très Oui was able to show the music world what they had to offer.
Even though the full album Poised to Flourish will not be released until February 9, 2018, their single “Red Wine & Dry Ice” already has fans on the edge of their seats with anticipation. Not only have they used Jensen’s synth skills to create a unique sound, but they have also incorporated lots of jangy guitar loops that has strong 80’s overtones and beach-worthy vibes. In the words of the group, “We want the songs to be in your head, but we don’t want to force our way in there. More of a hug than a handshake.” This young, new group has emerged and is hitting the music scene with energy and excitement that is worth keeping an eye on.

When you hear the name Thoreau, you might be thinking of Henry David’s daguerreotype. Well, here to take a completely fresh spin on the name is Denver based Thoreau (irl Harry Myers) just dropped his single, “Like We Used To”, featuring Jeris. Thoreau has seen love from Trap Nation, and was even reposted by The Chainsmokers. An electronic beat paired with emotion-infused vocals makes for a solid song from Thoreau. Thoreau will also be releasing his debut EP later in 2018, which is looking to be quite well received. Teeming with of-the-moment vibes, “Like We Used To” fits right into the modern music scene. With lines like “What if I was being honest/For the first time in a long time”, “Like We Used To” hits the heart and ears in all the right ways. It encapsulates the desire for things to be as they once were in a relationship. One of the most interesting aspects of this song is that even though the subject matter is rather deep, it’s still danceable, and is infused with electronica. We’re looking forward to hearing more from Thoreau throughout 2018 — keep your ears and eyes open for more!

Brand new on the scene, EDM/electronica artist Very Yes has just dropped his debut single, “Collide” via Magic Magic Records. Creating a tantalizing soundscape throughout the track, “Collide” combines a multitude of heavy and gentle beats along with scattered ethereal vocals. Not much is known about the elusive new artist, but it is evident that Very Yes puts a lot of thought into his music, as well as having experience. Somewhat ODESZA-esque, the inter-genre track, “Collide” is the perfect title for the single. The track brings together a blend of the old and the new, providing the perfect song to vibe to. Not too chill, not too rave-like, “Collide” is the epitome of a happy medium song. We’re looking forward to hearing more from Very Yes (and possibly learning more about the mysterious artist).

Parker Matthews is back with another single titled “Hit and Run”. The song starts out with a very nice guitar composition, followed with Parker Matthews’ upbeat vocals. The song is very catchy down from the first verse to the hook. After listening to the song a few times, the song is bound to get stuck inside of your head.
Parker Matthews makes love seem so simple with the song and lyrics that he uses in the song. The song is talking about what it is like the morning after a romantic rendezvous between two lovers. In the song, Matthews wants more than just a fling with his potential lover. He wants his potential love to stay all night no matter what it is that get into that night.
“Hit and Run” sets out to shatter gay stereotypes that men only want physical relationships. It is very catchy, with a trendy pop sound. With music like this Matthews is bound to go far in the music industry.

Brooklyn-based soul/pop artist Corina Corina recently released her newest single, “BAR$” to the public as an official teaser to what she has planned for the rest of the year. Like her other music, “BAR$” is groundbreaking in the world of lyrically driven R&B, Pop and Hip-Hop music. Through her music, Corina Corina is able to relate authenticity and seamless synergy while addressing topics such as gender inequality, self-love and also resisting social norms. Her newest work on the “Hungover Music” album points to her life long connection and relationship to alcohol.
“Hungover Music” is scheduled to be released later in 2018 with “BAR$” as the opening track. The album is meant to feature music that unveils Corina Corina for who she is: a dedicated musician who has poured blood sweat and tears into a career that makes it all worth it. As a budding musician, Corina Corina has expressed that her day-job as a barista cannot level with the amount of excitement that comes with her night-life as a performer. However, this new release will be a tribute to the love/hate relationship that she has with her life behind the bar. After spending a considerable amount of time working during the day, it is not unexpected for that to become a major theme in the creation of her music. In the end, Corina Corina’s success is deeply rooted in her ability to write relatable songs that is supported by her soulful, rich tone and genuine lyrics.

If you’re into smooth listening, “take a pill” in the form of Los Angeles-based Rx Soul‘s most recent release “Sea Change”. The instrumentals – experimental, almost, in nature – have a full, robust sound that almost feels primal when coupled with Rx Soul’s airy, seductive vocals. With the success of last year’s “All The Way There”, Rx Soul seems to have hit his stride as a newcomer in the industry. In fact, as a newer artist, we have even more respect for him because he doesn’t shy away from the tough topics. As he explains, “I wrote this song after realizing that much of my time was spent searching for the next high and relying on finding it. It’s an expression of my own reflection at the time, waking up to where I’d been.”
