Los Angeles-based singer songwriter Trace is set to take over 2018 with her new single “Blood and Bones”, which has a bit of R&B embedded into it. The song is mesmerizing because of its beat, but Trace’s vocals make the track exactly what it is: amazing.
“Blood and Bones” is about being infatuated with someone, as those feelings of infatuation can sometimes be misinterpreted causing the love to be unrequited. The song talks about the perception of someone you love without actually knowing them first. You can make your crush out to be this amazing person when they are actually the total opposite. “Blood and Bones” opens up about love going off course when it was once on the right track.

“Shiver” wastes no time getting to the point, and is the debut single from Whitelight, a duo from Birmingham. Impressive that this track is made by only 2 people. “Shiver” begins with a dusty gritty distortion then turns the corner into a verse that commands the spotlight with the singers’ wonderful accent. For fans of Royal Blood, Blue Oyster Cult, and Radiohead, Whitelight is best defined as true Indie Rock N Roll. The middle section of the song does have a neat echoing bluesy guitar solo, which pulls the distortion off the bass guitar giving a loungy feel. In its simplicity “Shiver” is a really catchy tune. No explosions or an intense build up its a straightforward track that is easy to swallow.
As I walked away from it, I found the chorus line still reverberating in my head so much so I had to give it another listen. Whitelight is proof that you really don’t need to over produce a song to make it great, you just need to write it well. When searching there isn’t too much information about WhiteLight. The alluring mystery and the availability of only 1 song has me definitely wanting more and I will be waiting to see what these guys are all about. Can’t wait to hear a full release and hear all that they have to offer.

At only 18, North Londoner Ellie Occleston is bursting onto the scene with her debut single, “Splinters”, out via Trellis Records. During her childhood spent in both the UK and Spain, Occleston honed her guitar and piano plays, as well as her songwriting skills. Ever expanding her potential, Ellie is currently a competitor in the Coffee Music Project in London.
Simply yet elegantly composed of piano and vocals, Occleston provides the track with emotion-packed singing. Aside from phenomenal lyrical composition, the single shows off all the right sides of Occleston’s vocal abilities within its four minutes. Produced by Jon Moon, “Splinters” is the perfect springboard to bring Ellie Occleston into the radar of the public. New York City-based composer Coleman Zurkowski, who just signed to Dangerbird Records, is preparing to release a video for “4” off the album Arthur King Presents Coleman Zurkowski – ZERO. L.A.’s Arthur King & the Night Sea is putting a set of music releases, including pairing with composer Coleman Zurkowski for ZERO. Says Zurkowski of ZERO: “ZERO is an exploration of the physical and emotional effects of binaural/isochronic rhythms which are gradually slowing into silence.” In addition to creative work of his own, Zurkowski has also composed for commercials and shows.
The video for “4” combines layered, nostalgic, and rather trippy images with some haunting instrumentals, creating an intriguing and almost foreboding visual and aural experience. The pairing of the experimental composer with a psychedelic band makes for a video like no other.

Madam West is a New York City pop quintet – comprised of Todd Martino, Will Clark, Jory Dawidowicz, Sophie Chermin and Mike McDearmon – and they just released a new song from their upcoming album Warm Bodies which will be released on March 23rd. The track is a song about love, living, and making your mark on the work as an artist. Madam West
“Strongest Son” starts out with a beat from a classic video game. The beat sounds like it is straight out of the video game Mario. As the beat begins, the singer’s voice chimes in on the track. The singer’s voice is calm as she sings about the “strongest son.” The song is very catchy down to its lyrics and its beat. The songs tune is very mesmerizing and guaranteed to get the listener addicted to the song.
