“Not Human” is the latest track by electro-pop newcomers, Elegant Slims. The song starts off with a forceful electronic beat, followed by creeping vocals which are sometimes distorted claiming “You’re not human anymore, you’re not human anymore.” The track is futuristic, moody, and taunting making for a song that you just want to scream in the car with, after you turn up your bass all the way up of course. The New York based group describes the single as “…the darkness we know exists in the world.” “Not Human” is definitely worth checking out.

Indie pop artist Alexx Mack just released her latest single “Wine in Bed.” In the artists own words “Wine in Bed is about me learning that my coping methods were adding toxicity in my life and relationships,” says Mack. “I would drink and cross my fingers to feel better and almost every time I’d end up making another mistake. I thought that every sign was pointing to me needing to be alone, the truth was that I was pushing everything good in my life away.” Alexx Mack’s voice is haunting, but the message of the song even more so. Lyrics like “I’ll just smoke another cigarette, drink wine in bed, tell another lie I can’t forget” are intense and touching. Mack’s voice and execution almost makes “Wine in Bed” sound like a ballad, but hear it through and you’ll realize it’s an itching cry for help.

Toronto born riding R&B artist Sway Clarke has been marked as questionable one of the most unique and diverse up and coming artist in this generation of musicians. With influences coming from pop, hip-hop R&B and many others, Clarke has combined all of these sounds and mixed these styles in a creative and stellar way that has brought him to the forefront of the music scene. Him new release, “Drugs” captures this talent in 3 minutes and 48 seconds that will keep the listeners hanging on every moment. Like music geniuses that came before him, there are movements within the new track that expresses emotion and depth that can’t be portrayed by the monotonous repetition that has plagued much of the new music that has been produced in recent years.
From humble beginnings, this new artist has brought the best of many worlds together since his debut release in 2013. Not only are those who have stumbled upon his music fascinated with this style, but they are eagerly awaiting the release of, “Drugs” which will drop Thursday March 22. As the music community awaits the sweet opportunity to be swept away in the mesmerizing beats and synth loops that are always highlighted in Clarke’s music, the budding artist is working harder than ever to continue to expand his horizons and etch his name in music history.

The electronic/DJ duo Bronze Whale has recently released a new track titled “Warm.” Bronze Whale is known for their beats and mad DJ skills, but Benny of the duo tackles the vocals on this track. He does a great job too, as the vocals are subtle yet pleasant enough to give the listener the ability to equally pay attention to the beats and Benji’s singing. The title “Warm” is the perfect title for this track. It is a roll your windows down song, a looking at your crush song, an intro to a romantic song. In short, this track really gives off a “feel good vibe” that you just can’t fight.
Also, be sure to catch up with the duo on their website and their Facebook page for their latest music and shows.

Liverpool-born, London-based artist Andro is presenting a beautiful, unique, and soul-filled new sound for the world to hear. He has just released a third single, “Liar”. While currently a solo artist, Andro also spent three years touring with electro-funk group Jungle. He’s previously released “When The Alarm Calls” and “Afterlife”, along with self-directed videos for both tracks. As his name suggests, Andro (Greek for “man” or “masculine”) presents himself with an androgynous side, challenging stereotypes, and we are here for it.
Andro says of his new single:
I wrote Liar, totally premeditating a bond I knew would fail. And I was also grieving. It echoes the period when you’re yearning for nothing but intimacy and you feel you’ve been ladened with a lie after the breakdown of a ‘companionship’.
“Liar” is a yearning, emotive track that clearly displays not only Andro’s vocal control, but his creativity as well. Reminiscent of artists like Sampha and even the legendary Prince himself, Andro has an evident grasp of his sound and we can’t wait to see what he puts out in the future.

Saltwater Sun just graced us after a hiatus with their latest release “The Wire.” “The Wire” is the bands eighth single following up their Flawed EP released in 2016. The vocals are creepily haunting with an alternative rock beat. My favorite lyric is “…I can feel it in the fire, when it’s coming down to the wire.” “The Wire” is an angsty track yet manages to find balance with a “cool rock vibe.” “The Wire” is definitely a track that I believe worth listening to.

“Off My Back” is artist’s Thoreau’s latest promising track. To me, the track feels very uplifting and empowering. “Off My Back” is a pop track with hints of an electronic sound. Thoreau is joined by Chloe Tang on vocals. The song starts with lyrics, “I want to meet your family, I want to make you happy- the way you hit me up you only want to feel my body.” This tells the tale of a toxic relationship that is not worth pursuing anymore with the lyric “shut the f**k up, I know that I’ve got some problems, but you are the one who messed up- I can’t wait to get you off my back.” This song is an easy listen as it is relatable in the “I only want you when I know I messed up” theme. With its infectious beat and relatable message, Thoreau’s “Off My Back” makes for a summer hit.

Coming so far from his X-Factor roots back in 2013, Matt Gresham is hitting the ground running with his new single “Home”. “Home” is a song about getting out of a situation that you are no longer comfortable in, to find a place where you belong. The overall message of the song is a satisfying message, showing what it is like to overcome your past and take on a new journey.
Along with the single, Matt Gresham has released a video for the song, which is very captivating. It shows Gresham searching all over for a new walk of life with his bag on his shoulder, snapshots of the city, forests, and beach setting the tone. The idea that there is freedom to go anywhere you want is palpable, beautiful in its visual.

Manchester-bred Bipolar Sunshine (irl Adio Marchant) is back at it again with another amazing single. Having released hit tracks like “Whole Heart”,“Major Love” and appearing on “Middle” with DJ Snake in 2017, Bipolar Sunshine is now blessing his fans with a brand new release: “Pressure”. The single is the first of his highly anticipated 2018 EP, Imaginarium. Not only has he dropped the new single, but a spectacular music video as well.
Marchant used to sing for ska band Kid British before heading out on his solo career in 2013. Now based in Los Angeles, he continues to put out quality music, delighting both devoted fans and new listeners alike. The video, directed by Matilda Finn, is fresh, modern, and extremely aesthetically pleasing. Marchant “wanted the audience to feel like they’re watching a movie. Some Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz in the movie Blow kinda feels.” and he definitely achieved this goal; the “Pressure” video is Hollywood through and through. “Pressure” is not your typical love song; it combines angst, desire, purity, and confusion within a few minutes of music. If you haven’t checked out Bipolar Sunshine before, do it today.
