24-year-old New York-based reggae/dancehall/R&B artist Kranium just dropped his brand new single “No Odda” .

Born Kemar Donaldson in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Kranium has an amazing ability to create music on the fly, and “No Odda” is no exception. Ever since his breakout hit “Nobody Has To Know”, Kranium has been dishing out consistent quality content, as well as collaborating with big names, including label mate Ty Dolla $ign.

“No Odda” is #relationshipgoals in a song. With a catchy beat, authentic lyrics, and irresistible vocals, Kranium has checked all the boxes for a quality love song – just in time for Valentine’s Day.  In addition, Kranium also dropped the lyric video for “No Odda”, created by 7Lemons.

Despite his success, Kranium remains refreshingly humble and rooted in authenticity: “To be honest, I’m just gonna be myself and make music to the best of my ability. I’m taking guidance from the right people. I’m here to work and I’m happy to have a platform like Atlantic Records to push it further. I’m here to stay not just to come and go. kevin george creates track for ct kids

kevin george creates track for ct kids

Still budding after the success founded in his debut track, “High Like This,” Kevin George recently released his newest single, “My Crew”. In his own words, “With My Crew, I wanted to create the soundtrack to the party for me & the kids from my city. Anything Goes at a party in CT”. Not only did he achieve this with the creativity and killer beats, but also with his innovative lyrics and loops.

If this new single wasn’t enough to get excited about this upcoming artist, then the announcement of the bigger picture is. Recently, it was published that “My Crew” is just the beginning of a much bigger project. In fact, this new single is a small piece of upcoming project LOVELAND, which gives all of his fans something to look forward to from this newcomer. Not only does George have a unique vocal ability, but his true talent is arguably found in his ability to produce skittering tracks that have since become a signature part of his sound and music profile. Now that Kevin George has released this second single, there is nothing stopping him from becoming a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.

green druid, “pale blood sky”

green druid, “pale blood sky”

Green Druid is set to release their album Ashen Blood via Earache records on March 16th. When checking out the song “Pale Blood Sky”, brace yourself for some serious doom metal that is polished off with a hypnotic psychedelic, “just roll with it” vibe as the track comes to a close at the 9 minute and 25-second mark. (Wait, can you do that in metal?) I mean a lot of progressive metal has songs around the 10-minute mark, so does Opeth, but Green Druid isn’t some technically overpowering cram a million different directions in one track kinda band.

Maybe it’s the snow and being cooped up, maybe its the video games, or maybe they have found that perfect groove and successfully managed to draw it out. Typically doom or stoner metal just drones over and over until it all seems like a blurry mess. With Green Druid, the music alone surrounds you in the journey of your own mind that is like the imagination, limitless.  While they definitely fit the roster of Earache with classics like Godflesh, Napalm Death, and Carcass, Green Druid is hands down a breed all their own and I’m sure the future will see them noted as pioneering a new frontier for metal.

If you are in the Denver metro area be sure to check them out at their CD Release March 23rd at Hi-Dive and pick up Ashen Blood on Vinyl or CD. If ya can’t wait you can pre-order the hard copy via the band’s Bandcamp page and you get 1 track now and a digital copy the second it is released March 16th.

sway clarke, “friend zone”

sway clarke, “friend zone”

Unrequited love can be difficult. It can be especially difficult when it comes to having any romantic feelings for one of your friends. Getting placed in the friend zone is a spot that nearly everyone wants to avoid, a place that does not make you feel like you will ever be set free. In his latest song “Friend Zone”, Sway Clarke captivates the feelings of being placed in the friend zone.

Even though the song is titled “Friend Zone”, it takes a different approach to what being in the friend zone is truly like. The song is about your significant other breaking up with you for someone else. Even though your significant other broke up with you, the four word line is used: “Let’s just be friends”.

The song has a unique tone to it. In the song Sway Clarke reminds us what it is like to be exiled to the friend zone. With his song “Friend Zone”, Sway Clarke proves why he is a force to be reckoned with in music.
