good charlotte @ the midland

On November 28th, Good Charlotte took over Arvest Bank Theater at The Midland in Kansas City, MO for a high-energy performance riddled with nostalgia. Frontman Joel Madden spent the evening poking fun at some of their highlight moments over the years, and asking fans where they were when certain songs came out. As memories of everyone’s adolescence came flooding back, the room was full to the brim with positive vibes. Photographer Meredith Schneider nabbed some highlights for us, which can be seen below.

Having been flummoxed by the talent of Chvrches for years now, it was our incredible pleasure to head out to see them headline The Night The Buzz Stole Xmas this year in Kansas City. Those gorgeous, lightweight vocals, that insane energy that could give anyone life… the night was absolute perfection. Photographer Meredith Schneider shares her point of view below.

P.S. You’ll notice even in the imperfections, there are rainbows everywhere. We cannot tout this live show enough.

phil and the osophers, “the smell of a christmas tree” + “playing santa”

The holiday season is officially upon us, and we’re celebrating with not just one premiere, but a DOUBLE PREMIERE with our friends Phil and the Osophers. With the wintertime release of Another Merry Christmas with Phil and the Osophers, here are the quirky and beautifully illustrated new lyric videos for both “The Smell Of A Christmas Tree” and “Playing Santa”. In both, each member of the act is depicted playing their respective instruments. The former is a meandering treasure, while “Playing Santa” recalls the magical feeling of wrapping gifts and the wonderful reality of impending happiness under the glow of the tree.

Take some time to enjoy them both below! And perhaps add them to your upcoming holiday playlist to listen to while you roast chestnuts or wind down after a few hours in the snow.

Another Merry Christmas with Phil and the Osophers is available now. Keep up with Phil and the Osophers here.

On October 27th, the indelible Garbage regaled a full house at Kings Theater in New York City. Our wonderful friend and glorious photographer Christie McMenamin was there to nab some highlights for you.

Keep up with Garbage here.

**Please send all of your positive thoughts to Christie as she is going through a bit of a rough time health-wise, hence why some of her photo sets are going up a bit belated.

kasbo @ the truman

The day after Thanksgiving was pretty thrilling, as it saw Swedish producer Kasbo and his cohorts entering city limits to play The Truman. We were thrilled by the lineup – which included Vancouver Sleep Clinic and Longer Days – as the night dissolved into a chaotic blur shortly after he took the stage. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Keep up with Kasbo here.

On Wednesday, November 21st, AWOLNATION played their final performance of 2018. It was the last date of the North American leg of Twenty Øne Pilots’ tour, and Aaron and the guys have been opening the show with great energy and ease each evening to sold out arenas all over our fine nation. We were lucky enough to get to witness the madness, some photos below!

corina seas, “sonic erasure”

corina seas, “sonic erasure”

Electro-pop/at r&b artist Corina Seas – backed by band members Luis Castro and George Carberry – is ready for the world to peep her brand new music video for the track “Sonic Erasure”. Lucky you, we’re the ones hosting the premiere. The 80s/90s dance track influence is pulled into the video, as she gets ready for an event by trying on different looks in the mirror, as many of us have found ourselves doing before.

The song itself, though it sounds as though you would hear it in a club, actually covers a darker topic. Explains Corina Seas of the track: “What I think is the most interesting part of “Sonic Erasure” is that I wrote it about how toxic my relationship was with my then-boyfriend while still being in the relationship. The song is almost like an ode for him to stay. He didn’t.”

Shot in warm lighting, the video then goes in a direction you don’t expect as her date shows up for dinner at her apartment.

Disassociated is out now. Keep up with Corina Seas here.
