In the midst of celebrating the release of their record Dur et Doux, French collective Saint Sadrill – composed of Antoine Mermet (voice, composition), Melissa Acchiardi (vibraphone, percussion), Lionel Aubernon (drums, electronics) , Lucas Hercberg (bass), Anne Quillier (keyboards, synth), and Vincent Redoux (guitar) – has unleashed a video for their gorgeously composed track “”. Filmed in the barn they recorded the album in, this live performance at Studio Rouge also marked the last of their tour, ending this round where these songs officially began. Just knowing that enhances this premiere – and its entrancing visual – in a way we didn’t see coming.
Americana act Divining Rod – currently comprised of Miyuki Furtado, Patrick Harmon, Mike Malone, John Malone, and Eric Kaye – releases a beautifully shot live performance music video for their luscious track “The Silver Ship” today. We’re lucky enough to be hosting the exclusive premiere, and we’re doing so in stride while dancing around the (newly decorated) Christmas tree post-Thanksgiving festivities with the family! Says Miyuki of the video:
We shot it with our collaborator, Craig Sachs, in one night at our friend’s painting studio and edited it ourselves. We had done another video there but wanted a totally new feel. After a while I came up with this idea to film it pretty much in the dark. I wanted to use negative space to give it space and depth, The darkness came in handy considering we shot it for practically no money. We wanted to do a live performance because the way the band plays the song live is a different entity from it’s recorded version. Plus we totally suck at lip synching.

Electro-pop/at r&b artist Corina Seas – backed by band members Luis Castro and George Carberry – is ready for the world to peep her brand new music video for the track “Sonic Erasure”. Lucky you, we’re the ones hosting the premiere. The 80s/90s dance track influence is pulled into the video, as she gets ready for an event by trying on different looks in the mirror, as many of us have found ourselves doing before.
The song itself, though it sounds as though you would hear it in a club, actually covers a darker topic. Explains Corina Seas of the track: “What I think is the most interesting part of “SonicErasure” is that I wrote it about how toxic my relationship was with my then-boyfriend while still being in the relationship. The song is almost like an ode for him to stay. He didn’t.”
Shot in warm lighting, the video then goes in a direction you don’t expect as her date shows up for dinner at her apartment.

Jealous of The Birds doesn’t actually fit into one box, if you’re looking for an honest answer. A bag of tricks, you can hear hints of 60s punk and indie rock and roll in her work, vocals deep and emotionally evocative. The new music video for “Marrow” follows suit, a visual dream basked in a glow that warms you while the artist galavants around in a garden. Just in time for tomorrow (Can anyone say “Election Day”?), New York sweetheart Gianni Paci comes at us with the offering of a new single and its artfully crafted music video. The song itself rocks the boat, allowing Paci to voice his opinions on our current political issues. But the song is so much more than that, as is the video. Shot in black and white for the first half and bursting into technicolor later on, the video does an amazing job of layering in artistic footage and illustrations, a touch of honest beauty to each. It’s a music video packed with a bang, as you’ll soon find out!
Today, Berlin-based alternative indie pop quartet The Flavians – comprised of Liam Blomqvist, Anna Vaverková, Tom Wills, and Joakim Jägerhult – releases their latest single “Non Stop Fun (All I Wanted)” along with an entertaining throwback of a music video. The song itself has vocal parts reminiscent of 60’s folk/pop stars, the tongue-in-cheek video comprised of scenes of a man’s life that one might find particularly dull – traveling on public transit, getting yelled at at the office, getting a drink in a dark bar – that, when etched together, tell a story most anyone can relate to.

Having binge-watched every episode of Queer Eye a couple of times over, we’ve been in the perfect mood to receive some amazing music video submissions all month. This soundtrack feature is a mess of some of our favs that were released in the latter half of October 2018, and we’ve honestly been chomping at the bit to get them out to you!
Space folk duo Astralingua – comprised of Joseph Andrew Thompson and Anne Rose Thompson – recently released a captivating, artful black and white visual to accompany their single “Plunge”. The video depicts people of all cultures dancing, while the song plays in the background. “Plunge” has been explained as a track about having courage no matter what, which aligns perfectly with the title and the fun dance moves utilized. The instrumentals have a bit of yesteryear flavor, with a dash of “Eleanor Rigby”-era Beatles to accompany them. We’re big fans of the sound, as it’s a fresh take on confidence than what we have heard as of late.
Brooklyn-based rock musician Ian Wayne‘s debut album might not be out quite yet – A Place Where Nothing Matters drops November 16th – but his clear creative abilities are showing up all over the place. For example, his new music video for single “Revelation”. Shot and edited by Ian himself – with additional footage by Winston Cook-Wilson – “Revelation” explores mundane activities with Ian in a suit, highlighting the beauty of the streets of Brooklyn in some scenes, and glimpsing other bits of nature in others. As Ian eats a pastry on a chair, a cat lounges lazily behind him. A cap adds some flair to his suit (see: above), but nothing caps the quirky esthetic of an animation that pops into the frame seemingly randomly near the end.
Trust us, it’s a pretty entertaining video. And the track is more than perfect for your next house hangs playlist. Take a gander below!
