On Monday, April 29th – just days after the release of their new album Real Life – brother duo Cayucas made a phenomenal appearance at recordBar in Kansas City, MO. They were joined by Cape Francis, which was also an incredible delight. In all sincerity, it’s a little more difficult to get a midwestern out of the house on a Monday night. Especially when the weather has been gloomy. But Cayucas is the band you show up for, as you’ll never quite understand how impressive they are without witnessing them live.

On Tuesday, April 16th, Haley Reinhart made a spectacular appearance at The Granada in Lawrence, KS. Photographer Elizabeth Messina made the trek out on the beautiful spring evening to enjoy an opening set by Jennah Bell, and an incredibly alluring evening with Reinhart, who drew a diverse, energetic crowd of onlookers. Highlights below.

On March 16th, we welcomed St. Patrick’s Day with an energetic performance by The Mowgli’s at The Truman in Kansas City, MO. Every bit of what we’ve come to love about this band was displayed on stage, from the intensity of their live performance, to the vulnerability in the words that they sing, and even to a few choice moments of love specifically for the Kansas City audience. We caught a few choice photos between jumps and spins, and you can check them out below!

On March 12th, Flogging Molly made another incredibly memorable performance on stage at Harrah’s VooDoo Lounge in Kansas City, MO. The room was decked out in pageboy hats, green threads, and so much beer as we rang in the beginning of St. Patrick’s Week with our favorite Irish drinking music.

On Friday, March 8th, Andrew McMahon brought his Upside Down Flowers tour to The Truman in Kansas City, MO. Thrilled to see one of Kansas City’s favorites, we were delighted at the stage decor and gorgeous lighting setup. Per usual, McMahon’s energy was unmatched and really led us into the weekend on a high note.
