On Wednesday, March 27th, Arvest Bank Theatre at The Midland opened its doors and welcomed a hefty crowd for the St. Paul & The Broken Bones show. Opener Michael Nau played some acoustic beauts, and we melted into the evening with the incredible Alabama-based collective that truly ignites our souls.

On Saturday, January 26th, Madisen Ward & The Mama Bear took their hometown by storm with an incredible performance at The Truman in Kansas City, Missouri. Their opening act – Me Like Bees – was sure to entertain to the max, and to thank MW&MB for their kindness over the years. The night was incredible, and everyone seemed to be absolutely glowing. On Friday, December 14th, Rachel Mallin & The Wild Type opened for the incredible Bad Bad Hats are recordBar in Kansas City, MO. We were on the ground to get some photos, and here are some highlights from their particularly groovy set.
imagine coming out of the haze induced by an hour long drive in the middle of nowhere Kansas after a long day at work and being met by Anthony Gomes‘ insane guitar skills. That type of energy can be a blow to your brain and your ego, honestly. But it’s true. And from the very first chords of his set on Friday, October 26th, members of the crowd were up and dancing. Gomes, his bassist, and his drummer went from one song to the next, just rolling through his catalog, almost to the point that the untrained ear might not notice the difference between one song and the next. In that regard, this was a beautiful journey, and a night that easily inspired our weekend.
On October 17th, the stylish powerhouse CYN opened for Years & Years at The Truman in Kansas City, MO. We nabbed a few key shots to make you feel like you were there, front row, enjoying her thrilling live set.
Saturday, October 13th was a bit of a bummer for us. Sure, the sun was out and the weather was crisp and we were witnessing Minus The Bear‘s live stage show for the umpteenth time. But the reality of it was that we were seeing them for the last time, as they travel across the country on their farewell tour. We managed to capture the warmth and vibrance of their set the way they’ve captured our hearts.
