The day after we were intoxicated by punk rocker Haru Nemuri absolutely destroying her midnight set at Elysium on March 14th, we had the pleasure of translating her energy into portraits. She was delighted that two generations of our family were there to enjoy her late set the night before – it’s not my fault we have the coolest mom ever, honestly – and we were able to joke around a bit while she threw stunner poses at us.
It’s truly no wonder that between her 5 shows and 1500+ fans that came out to see her, she sold out of her merchandise at SXSW. Keep your eyes peeled for her full-length release, out April 22, 2022.

Meredith is often referred to as an entrepreneur, photographer, writer, and multi-media maven. She is currently the Editor in Chief at Imperfect Fifth, Co-Owner/Co-Producer at DoubleTake Productions, a ticket seller at a concert venue in KC, and a freelance writer/photographer. In her free time, she likes to make baked goods and complete DIY projects alongside her trusty – OK, not so trusty – cat Schmidt. She loves Batman so much she named her car Bruce Wayne.
