September is already halfway over. Don’t ask us how it happened, we feel like we blinked and the month is already gone. However, the level of talent in the music industry just. Doesn’t. Quit. With so many incredible project releases on the horizon toward the end of the year, we’re raking in the single releases like crazy. Here are a few of our favorites.
Each month, we bring you an ever-evolving list of our favorite new tracks out. We reach into every genre, and to far corners of the earth for this talent. And we’re very pleased to see it all unfold over the course of the month — you’ll go from EDM to country rock to pop all in the course of a few songs. We DIG THAT. We LIKE TO INTERRUPT. Yes, the journey of an album in its entirety is important to us. But that’s up to the artist. We’re here to get you out of your comfort zone and help you discover new sounds you may not otherwise be privy to.
So set yourself up for some newness, and hit “PLAY.” Because it might be the only out-of-the-box thing you have any control over right now. And that’s okay.

On September 19th, Andrew W.K. took over recordBar in KC for the second time in the last year, preaching the gospel of PARTY to the midwest. Photographer Ashleigh Lee caught some epic action shots for us, as the crowd went wild with Andrew W.K.’s infinite positive message, brought to us through the power of rock.

We just wanted to come up with a witty line for the title, this might not be the best September to remember. BUT it has been a brilliant month for music – and a brilliant summer, really, for our eager ears.
We launched this site this month. Last week. Big things are happening. So we’ve decided to do a monthly roundup of music we’re listening to, and post it close to the end of the month, but keep adding as we go. So this playlist isn’t set. It isn’t done. We don’t have any explanations for the tracks, nothing important to say. The songs don’t fit into specific genres, and we’ve included everything we’ve written about this month, no matter its release date. Just wanted to keep it in one, compact, fun place for you to enjoy!
