Since the beginning of his career, Greek-born artist Leon of Athens has used his poetic lyricism to share a message through his music to people and fans across the globe. Most recently, Leon has released a brilliant new video for the title track off of his latest album, Xenos. Not only is this video a visual spectacle, but it is laced with dreamy scenes and raw emotion that match the emotion and intensity of the track. Wild, flashing lights are a key element in the production of the music video that match the beat and rhythm while fast, animal like men and women race towards something that seems to be unachievable. These elements, however, were not surprising to those who have seen and heard Leon in the past. In fact, riveting graphics and intensity are both signatures of this indie-pop artist that is taking the music community by storm.
Throughout his career on the stage, Leon of Athens has received praise from some of the greatest and most well-known names in the industry. Recently, the New York Times has named him an, “Immensely appealing Greek pop star.” Also, The Guardian also hailed him as a, “Brainy pop inspired by Bernardo Bertolucci, inflected with electronic, folk and other flavors.” Clearly, with such overwhelming support from international fans and critics, the future for Leon of Athens is secure and bright.
Glam rocker Danielle Duval delivers again, this time with her new single “Whenever You Want It”. Danielle Duval is a Montreal born and Toronto-based indie rocker. Duval caught the attention of musical fans and the industry when she debuted her debut EP L’Etranger. Since that release, Danielle Duval has been gearing up to take the world by storm.
“Whenever You Want It” is a song about being fearless. The song tells the listener to be open and ready for whatever comes his or her way. “Whenever You Want It” recognizes love with no fear and encourages the listener to go for it and be unapologetic. The song is great, passionate, and full of lots of high energy.
“Whenever You Want It” is the lead single off Duval’s sophomore album Lose It which is available to own right now. Keep up with her here.
LA darling Presley Tennant has come into the year 2018 with such fire and promise that there is no telling what the limits are for her and her music. Since 2016, Tennant has performed all over the country in some of the most sought after venues such as VidCOn 2016 and the Kia Stage. Not only is she getting the face time that most budding artists seek, but she is also producing relevant and eye-catching content that is going viral. Most recently, Presley released a music video of one of her most well-known singles, “BFF,” which is a clever spin of text slang for, “best friend forever.” Not only does the tune and beat keep the attention of the listener, but the lyrics themselves are clever and catchy which renders her work memorable.
Adding to her success is her involvement with the WNBA. Earlier, Presley was selected as an ambassador for Young Women with the LA Sparks. During this time, she attended several events that promoted many things including growth and confidence among her peers. Not only is this artist taking the stage, but she is also taking the hearts of her fans as a strong and confident member of the community. It is clear that this artist is gaining momentum towards what could possibly turn into a wildly successful career.
Still budding after the success founded in his debut track, “High Like This,” Kevin George recently released his newest single, “My Crew”. In his own words, “With My Crew, I wanted to create the soundtrack to the party for me & the kids from my city. Anything Goes at a party in CT”. Not only did he achieve this with the creativity and killer beats, but also with his innovative lyrics and loops.
If this new single wasn’t enough to get excited about this upcoming artist, then the announcement of the bigger picture is. Recently, it was published that “My Crew” is just the beginning of a much bigger project. In fact, this new single is a small piece of upcoming project LOVELAND, which gives all of his fans something to look forward to from this newcomer. Not only does George have a unique vocal ability, but his true talent is arguably found in his ability to produce skittering tracks that have since become a signature part of his sound and music profile. Now that Kevin George has released this second single, there is nothing stopping him from becoming a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
After forming together at a high school party, alternative pop band The Unlikely Candidates went on to release three Eps and have since spent countless hours on the road in order to chase after a dream that started so many years ago. While on the road, they had several opportunities to work along-side some of the most well-known names and faces in the industry from Sublime With Rome to Fallout Boy.
Most recently, however, they have released a new lyric video for their single “Oh My Dear Lord,” and are featured on the Dirty Heads’ new song titled, “Celebrate,” which is currently in the Top 25 at Alternative Radio. Clearly, the five members of this band have been hard at work to get their name recognized in the general music community. Clearly, their hard work is paying off in their widespread popularity. This new release has over 17 million combined streams-a number that is sure to continue to climb in the future. One of the most recognizable attributes of this band’s music is their ability to add a certain “grit,” to their pop overtones which allows for a larger fan demographic.
Talented Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Doug DeLuca has been putting together a pretty stellar EP experience for us. But in the meantime, it looks like we’ve got the sticky sweet premiere for the “Gimme Love” music video to enjoy. What a perfect time to be sharing this one, as it matches the theme of Valentine’s Day so well. As the track sets seductive, soulful vibe for the most love-filled day of the year, the listener is entranced by the way DeLuca expresses his feelings so bluntly and in such a rose-colored light. Let yourself be dazzled by the vivid colors and fun, bottle popping experience that is “Gimme Love”.
Look out for the Hit Your Mark EP, and keep up with Doug DeLuca here.
Bohnes has released an acoustic version of his latest single “My Friends”, and an EP filled with the track featuring artists such as Chace, Milk N Cooks, VCDC, Chantry, and Pretty Sister. “My Friends” is about getting to know your “enemies” or demons and befriending them instead of trying to run away or avoiding them. The original video version of “My Friends” is definitely different than the acoustic version. This version is much slower than the original version. The vocals in the song are more passionate, but it retains the same meaning. You can already hear the passion through Bohnes’ voice, but the video tugs at your heartstrings even more.
Bohnes is seen walking along an airplane that looks scratched up. The song is being played during a beautiful sunset. “My Friends” shows that our demons stay with us forever so we may as well befriend them. It is an absolute masterpiece, and the anticipation of seeing what Bohnes releases next is nail biting.
“Enter Oblivion” is the latest video from the melodic death metal band Darkest Hour. Singer John Henry directed the video that was shot in the Mojave Desert at a national natural landmark, Rainbow Basin. Known for being dry and desolate, the basin has awesome rock formations and fossil beds. The video shows the band playing and periodically shows a mysterious white cloaked man wondering around as if to be searching for something.
“Enter Oblivion” comes from the band’s 11th album, Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora, that was released in 2017 and was produced by Kurt Ballou (Converge). This D.C. based 5 piece has come a long way from where they started in 1995. Through multiple line up and record label changes Darkest Hour has really matured and while “Enter Oblivion” is not as heavy as what you’d expect it shows great diversity and still carries their melodic signature tone, double bass, and blast beats.
Over the past 20 years, Darkest Hour has risen up from the underground and just like Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong, Darkest Hour has put their flag into the metal scene and marked their place as one of the driving forces behind what defines the true melodic brutality of metal.
Hitting the road Feb 16th Darkest Hour will be touring the east coast first and in April heading overseas with Cephalic Carnage. Check out the video for “Into Oblivion” and if you are serious about your metal and lucky enough that Darkest Hour comes through your town be there front and center and prepare for a lesson in brutality.

Releasing his newest single is Jordan Sudak under the moniker of Koda. Since his debut, Koda has pulled all the stops in order to chase the greatness that he knows could be within his reach within the coming years. Not only is Sudak an artist that can create an atmosphere for the listeners, but he is also able to relate a strong and powerful message through his creative lyricism. Like many of the other artists in this genre, Sudak feeds off of the brooding intensity of his music that is sincere and fueled by passion that has been growing since he first started performing.
“White Dove”, like much of his other music, brings something different to the scene that fans and critics alike have latched on to and have began to crave and expect. Not only does Koda’s music bring in traditional sounds, but it also overlays many of the hooks with loops that sound foreign and has become a signature of this artist. Now that he has released this new single, fans are really wanting to see Koda perform live more often in order to hopefully show off his unique talent.
