Have you ever felt like a foreigner in a situation? Like an outsider who just might not quite fit in? Tuarrah‘s “Ellis” conveys that feeling, which aims to reduce peoples’ fear of “the other”. We are all about conquering those fears this year, and intend to do so with the right soundtrack behind us. Luckily, Danish sound artist Martin Hviid collaborated on “Ellis” for us, to bring a different type of life to the already enticing track by the Brooklyn indie band — and to our resolutions.

Los Angeles based funk-infused soul-pop creator Spencer Ludwig has had quite the year with new music releases. Today, we’ve got the exclusive streaming premiere of the LEFTI remix of his track “Just Wanna Dance”. Though the original track is pure bliss, the updated version gives us all the good vibes, staccato instrumentals and all. Though the track is largely electronic, there is an ethereal feeling to it all, induced by Ludwig’s smooth as honey vocals. The best part about it? It came about due to a sense of community, which is everything and more for a dance track!
I feel a kindred spirit to my friend LEFTI since we both shared the experience of being in a popular indie-pop band (LEFTI was the bass player in Cobra Starship) around the same time and also for deciding to break off and do our own thing around the same time. We’re also neighbors in Brooklyn! The NY music scene is small and I’m a big fan of LEFTI and of collaborating with NY artists in general. This remix foreshadows a collaboration between LEFTI and me called “Every Time”, which comes out in early 2019. It’s really just to give you a taste of what’s to come!
Get yourself in the mood for a spectacular weekend below!

PNW-based CNJR (kon-jer) creates a soundscape like no other, drawing from multiple genres for a sound that is theatric, brooding, and alive in all of its synth-infused glory. An instrumental masterpiece, we find ourselves drawn in by the hip-hop aspects of the track, the bass coming through in spurts that make any listener want to move. Though the Hive Mind EP isn’t set to release until next month on Future Archive Recordings, we have the exclusive premiere of new track “Ansible” (and its two remixes) below. Check them out, and let us know which one is your favorite!

Using a humanistic approach to the electronic music soundscape is not only one Koresma’s highly coveted skills, but it is what sets this electronic music project apart from other artist that produce music within this selfsame genre. Listening to their music has allowed fans to escape to a safe place that is full of inspiration and relaxation—a feat that is priceless in the fast-paced world that we find ourselves in. Recently, Koresma has released “The Overlook (Common Tiger Remix)” which not only fits all of the above criteria that makes his music unique, but it is upbeat and exciting to listen to. With his sound sufficiently developed and fine tuned, project member Ryan Lindberg is preparing to produce and release a series of EP’s that will eventually form a four-part collection entitled, Next Frontier. Each individual EP is associated with one single direction, East, which will be released first and then West, North and South following subsequently.
This new EP was developed under the theme of self-discovery, representing the journey that everyone takes through life which is comprised of twist and turns—a past and future. Drawing inspiration from the road trip that he took which spanned the entire United States, Lindberg skillfully and artistically paints the scenes and landscapes that he quickly fell in love with over the duration of his travels. With so much exciting news and four huge releases in this coming year, there is no doubt that this artist will find success among those who wish to truly escape into his world of lush lyrics and beautiful beats.

Bohnes has released an acoustic version of his latest single “My Friends”, and an EP filled with the track featuring artists such as Chace, Milk N Cooks, VCDC, Chantry, and Pretty Sister. “My Friends” is about getting to know your “enemies” or demons and befriending them instead of trying to run away or avoiding them. The original video version of “My Friends” is definitely different than the acoustic version. This version is much slower than the original version. The vocals in the song are more passionate, but it retains the same meaning. You can already hear the passion through Bohnes’ voice, but the video tugs at your heartstrings even more.
Bohnes is seen walking along an airplane that looks scratched up. The song is being played during a beautiful sunset. “My Friends” shows that our demons stay with us forever so we may as well befriend them. It is an absolute masterpiece, and the anticipation of seeing what Bohnes releases next is nail biting.
