Take this time to get outside, get grounded, and love on yourself a little bit. But in the in-between, feel free to play our May soundtrack in the background of whateverthehell you’re spending your time on and with these days. We promise you’ll find some gems to add to your personal collection, and there might be some fun ones built-in for your next vacation playlist! 🙂

Have you been taking your time with the silence lately? Really analyzing every aspect of a sense? We suggest trying on all of this gorgeous, new music for size from this month of social distancing, perhaps in a way that allows you no distractions. (Amidst the bevy of new plants you’ve acquired during quarantine?) We have some stunners this month, and we’re not ashamed of the fact that we’ve gotten lost in this playlist all month.

Enjoy!

may, “baby save me tonight”

may, “baby save me tonight”

Slow and steady, MAY plays with dissonance in a clear and beautiful way with new track “Baby Save Me Tonight”. A lead up to her upcoming EP, which is born from her musical stylings developed and performed in and around Brooklyn. Her raspy, robust vocals are an aspect of note, lining her up in a category with songstresses such as Lana Del Rey and Amy Winehouse. Admits MAY of the track:

There is a beautifully devout sense of longing in Baby Save Me Tonight, met with an honest, but tongue-in-cheek kind of cynicism. For me it is cathartic and sentimental to perform in many ways and I love how it feels like conversations I had whilst writing it in the heart of Montreal in the fall last year.

Keep up with MAY here.
