Malaysia-born emcee Zamaera is experiencing quite the whirlwind romance with music lovers across the globe. In the wake of her success with debut music video “Helly Kelly“, she recently released new track “Z vs Z” with an accompanying music video. The video itself was shot in black and white, and features an full orchestra. What’s beautiful within the simplicity of this video is that you can truly appreciate Zamaera’s live performance tactics. You can tell she truly feels the lyrics as she’s saying them, as they’re dripping with emotion as her facial features are full of conviction. It’s beyond captivating, and we’re ready for a live show, but even more pumped for her forthcoming EP.

Canada based COTIS just released his latest single, a track titled “Phone Light Up”. “Phone Light Up” takes a look at relationships in the modern era of technology and how to play by those rules. “We living it up, not playing it safe, I give and I take; give me some space,” COTIS preaches on “Phone Light Up.” COTIS goes further into it on the chorus, stating: “Yet baby tell me what’s come over you, your phone light up.” Aside from the amazing writing, “Phone Light Up” intermingles classic pop with with urban hip-hop and R&B beats. The track flows effortlessly and has a real message – “Why are there so many rules to this game and does it really even matter?” A true “I said, she said” track, COTIS’ “Phone Light Up” is something that you can play over and over again.
Take one listen at Yoshi Flower and he may sound familiar. Yoshi, also known as Josh Smith, is a former member of the duo Gosh Pith. Now Yoshi Flower is breaking out as an emerging solo artist, and just released his latest “Just On Drugs.” “Just On Drugs” has a “So-Cal” vibe which is perfect considering summer is right around the corner. Yoshi Flower, reminds me of Blackbear, however less produced which makes listening to Yoshi easy. “Just On Drugs” combines EDM and pop while Yoshi shows off his rap and vocal skills. “Just On Drugs” has a pretty clear title, but an abrasive meaning. “We’re just on drugs—it’s not love,” states Yoshi Flower. My favorite part about “Just On Drugs” is its truthfulness and “I don’t care” attitude.
