If you haven’t had the pleasure of indulging in the inspired alt-indie catalog of Los Angeles’ Wonderlick, then it’s probably time. The duo – formed in 2001 and masterfully comprised of Too Much Joy members Jay Blumenfield and Tim Quirk – released a new full-length today.

Wonderlick Goes To Waris a beautiful representation of how artists have a way to frame and re-frame how we see and experience the world. Each song on this 11-track release has depth, both in lyrics and in sonic presentation. The duo is not afraid to get goofy with their work, giving layers to the project that can make you sit and think while the rest of the room is dancing.

Wonderlick will be stopping by minibar in Kansas City, MO on Tuesday, August 6th on the Stampede 2025 tour. Tickets won’t cost you an arm and a leg, and the weather is projected to be “warmer than October, but we can’t guarantee it won’t feel like the surface of the sun at any given point in time.”
