Brooklyn-based alt-dance/pop duo Glassio – comprised of Sam R. and Charles Pinel – recently unleashed the music video for their latest single “New York, New York II” unto the world, and we’re floored by how visually attractive it is. Hard angles, color blocks, insane contract, a technical yet natural flow to how everything fits together. A projector plays video of New Yorkers singing pieces of the track on the streets of the phenomenal city that they live in. The striking visuals match the lyrical content for impressiveness, and there’s a cool as a cucumber vibe emanating from it all that makes “New York, New York II” perfect as the backdrop to your next summer party.

Brooklyn based Swimming Bell have released a new single that is sure to bring them closer to the dream that they once thought, at one point, unteachable. Their newest release, “Desert Song (a lullaby)” was written in a cool October night while band member Katie Schottland was driving after attending a wedding. Before long, she found herself lost with a phone that had little to no battery. After pulling off the road to stop for the night and after many failed attempts to reach a satisfactory slumber, the words for this new release came to her as she tried to soothe her wild imagination.

Swimming Bell is a solo project that was created by Schottland after participating in several different bands over the past few years. With relatively no musical training, Katie has approached music with pure skill, talent and a highly developed ear for good sound. With the release of this new single, Swimming Bell hopes to also release a full length album by the end of this year. Along with these plans for future releases, it has also been announced that this group will be turning around the United States in order to share their music with anyone who is willing to listen.

Harley Alexander-Sule, otherwise known as his stage name Jimi Charles Moody is taking the world by storm with his new EP Highbury. Branching off from the duo Rizzle Kicks, Jimi Charles Moody only plans to go up in the music industry, especially after an EP like Highbury. Highbury consists of four songs jam packed with R&B music. After listening to the EP, four songs are simply not enough.

One of the hidden gems on the album is Shame. Shame is filled with raw vocals and a great sound. The song is about not regretting love. Shame is hands down a great song to start Jimi Charles Moody’s solo career. Each song on the EP has a different sound to it. Happy Song is a song that will instantly make you want to get up and snap your fingers while Prolong the Pain and Only You will automatically make even your heart shed a tear. The entire album is perfection in its own right due to each song being different in its own way.

Highbury is pure gold from beginning to end, this EP has just the right music to set Jimi Charles Moody’s career soaring. Highbury is available now.
