Vacation Forever just released their latest “Kamikaze Love”. The Sweden-based band is joined by producer Jeff Bhasker, who has worked with names such as Kanye and Kendrick. “Kamikaze Love” isn’t rap though. Instead, Vacation Forever brings a sweet indie sound to “Kamikaze Love”. “Take my heart, take my everything,” the chorus belts. The track has a summer sound to it with a hazy feel and remains adorably cheesy, but not to cheesy. The visuals to “Kamikaze Love” are equally as stunning with a 90’s spin.

Stunning. Beautiful. Haunting. Very few words perfectly describe the new video released for Kate Faust’s stunning new single, “Trouble.” As the scene opens, Faust is buried in a cape of darkness that intensifies the mood so wonderfully outlined by the drawn out instrumental loops. Vocally speaking, even the bone chilling beauty of Faust’s tone and timbre instantly creates an edgy atmosphere this is pure perfection. Choreographed down to the last second, every frame is infused with muted colors that are placed in stunning contrast with a sudden streak of yellow lights that morph and shift over the face of this incredible new artist. One of the greatest aspects of this debut is the organic beauty that is completely exposed and is not overwhelmed by complicated or loud instrumental loops.
Like slowly drifting deeper and deeper into a dark pool, listeners will find themselevs drifting into a stupor as their focus turns completely to the musical genius of, “Trouble.” Throughout the video, fans will come to learn that beauty can be found in darkness as Fausts incredible features are masked by the opaque fog and looming shadows. Without a doubt, Faust has proven once again that she has the vocal power and artistic ability to continue to grow and create music that has longterm staying power among her fans.

Swedish singer/songwriter Olle Hammar found himself through his stage name “Lionman”, which is more than just a name, it is a symbol of strength. It’s endearing, and the music that comes from this moniker is enviable. “Don’t You Dare” is a perfect example of how Hammar exemplifies his inner strength through music. The track is in a lane of its own through its soulful sound, and sends a powerful message that it is okay to be yourself in a society that is often judgmental. The video was shot in a school with moody, beautiful lighting and a variety of individuals to help support the message of the song itself. It’s an absolute piece of art, and we kind of can’t stop watching.

Tugging on the heart strings of fans throughout the world is Brooklyn-based artist Yoke Lore who recently released a music video for his rising single, “Fake You.” Vocally speaking, Lore has a hypnotizing range that matches the mood and atmosphere that the instrumental undertones lay out perfectly. One of the greatest aspects of this compilation, however, is how the music ticks in artistic time with each lyrical line of genius. In every aspect, the video, created by Lore and his friend Kenny in Austin, is a work of art that has layers of metaphorical meaning and depth. Unlike so many of the straight forward videos that have recently flooded the internet, there is an incredible amount of artist merit to this wonderfully choreographed video. Constantly fading between two separate realities, “Fake You,” is mind blowing song with a trippy video to match.
Since the release of the video, Lore has garnered thousands of streams – a number that will continue to grow as their music credibility with fans and critics continues to grow as more time passes. In the future, fans hope to see more of this budding musician. As the new musical venture of Adrian Galvin, previously of Yellerkin and Walk the Moon, the expectations are mounting, but no doubt that we will continue to receive quality work from Yoke Lore.

Le Days – the folk music project by Sweden’s Daniel Hedin – releases the next installment of creation with the premiere of his new music video for “Inside Me”. The video – shot highlighting jewel tones in a beautiful and seductive light – follows a girl’s life of internal conflict, as she clearly despises her mother’s behavior. Emotional abuse is obvious, physical abuse is clearly displayed. It’s alarming, but insanely gratifying to see artists addressing very real and very difficult problems.
Says the artist: “When you dream and silence finds you, everything you ever felt hits you like a flood. Images, voices flashes through your head like an unstoppable force of nature. You are everything that’s been and it is what makes you breathe and all that keeps you breathing is to keep dreaming.”

With members from all over and all kinds of musical backgrounds, it’s no wonder that MIEN is a veritable treasure trove of sonic fanaticism. MIEN is made up of Alex Maas (vocals, samples, loops), Tom Furse (keyboards, programming), Rishi Dhir (bass, sitar, keyboards) and John-Mark Lapham (keyboards, samples, programming). The four-piece has just dropped the video for their new song “Odyssey”, off their recently released self-titled debut album. Virtually an outlandish collage of adult magazine cut-outs, the video for “Odyssey” takes the viewer on a psychedelic journey that perfectly matches the vocals and instrumentation of the track.
John-Mark Lapham says of the song:
Odyssey started out as an instrumental by Tom. I had heard a song [“Tchi Tchi Vox”] by an 80s band called Vox Populi and I tried sampling the chorus, which is in Dutch. It didn’t work, but Vox Populi ended up re-recording the vocals for us. The tchi-tchi boy can be whatever you wanted it to be, especially since it is in another language. It is like a musical Rorschach test. Could be she-she boy, chi-chi boy…
