Today, we have the insane pleasure of premiering alt-rock collective James World‘s latest visual gem for the title track off their upcoming album Funny Dreams. Beginning in a rural community walking down the street, you get a feeling that something is a-brewing if not only for the edgy vocals and guitar that lead in to the core of the track. Overlays of scenes enter the frame in black and white, creating a psychedelic space for the viewer, amidst flashing lights and a sense of confusion amidst the insanity. And yet, the adventure is somehow calming as the beautiful trees lead you out.

Indie-soul musician Oliver Kennan releases the music video for his single “The Tinkerer” today, and we’ve got the exclusive premiere. Slightly muted colors give a vintage tinge to the visual that allows it to match its soundscape a little more. A complicated relationship, lots of curls, and some quick choreography make for a stellar visual experience. Explains Oliver:
The music video for ‘The Tinkerer’ is a surreal comedy about a young girl and the chaos of growing up. It re-contextualizes the lyrics of the song which read like the wild inner dialogue of a troubled soul. Everyone knows that adolescence can be just as complicated as adulthood and the contrast of the image of a child and the thoughts of an adult lets us explore that idea and laugh about it at the same time.

Today, indie-electro duo Ideomotor releases a brilliant new video for their song “One Last Time”, and we have the exclusive premiere available right here! It all begins with a text, igniting a fire in the watcher’s belly about the importance of launching a music video for the new release. Stress almost seems to consume them as they ponder the release. The way to get out of their heads involves a night out, and a beautifully shot music video drenched in deviance and a really good time. Explains director Vesa Salmi:
We did a run and gun production with a hand held camera without much crew or time for that matter. In a lot of occasions we just had to make use of the available light as we didn’t want to compromise the aim of getting the best shots amid the restraints. We wanted to capture authentic moments and at times the guys did not even know that I was shooting. I wanted to portray the band in a natural setting where living in different countries poses everyday problems that they regularly seem to overcome with a solid all for one effort that clearly brings joy to them and their listeners.
Sometimes to get out of your head, you’ve got to let loose. It’s time to let loose with Ideomotor.

New Orleans-based indie pop band
Royal Teeth manages to meld vulnerability and a catchy beat together in their latest single “Rivalry.” The track highlights the ever-present rivalry between change and constancy — the inner turmoil of deciding whether to move on or not to move on. The lead vocals of Gary Larsen and Nora Patterson, paired with guitarist Thomas Onebane and drummer Josh Hefner, creates a sound that allows the music to take hold of their listeners in an emotional way. The chorus stands out as the perfect example of how
Royal Teeth can show off their own musical style— deeply honest lyrics to a toe-tapping beat so that it gets stuck in your head:
Baby I’m not wasting no more time,
Drag my heart down one too many times,
Hold me steady give me one more try,
I made up my mind, I’m wasting no more time.

Self-proclaimed grunge pop baby talker’s latest venture is a cover of an iconic mid-2000s rock track – TV on the Radio’s “Wolf Like Me.” It’s a high energy, lyrically passionate song that talker manages to make her own. The music video is quite simple, showing talker and the band recording in a studio, which allows for the music to be the focal point. talker’s voice brings a unique, edgy femininity to the song. Her cover is cool and effortless, and it makes you want to dance around until its time to press replay again.
