Seeking to bring their magical soundscapes to a new level, First Ghosts have released their newest single, “Burt Out,” which they believe can raise them into the spotlight that they so desperately desire. Their latest single is proof that they have the skills that every fan is looking for, but they also have a unique way of bringing new material to the table that both shocks and surprises all those who decide to tune into their world of killer jams.
Along with their skills that allow them to create new, innovative music, lyrically they are able to create movements within their singles that create a nostalgic atmosphere that welcomes people into the world First Ghosts have created with their words. In reference to this skill, Andrew Harris, their co-director has said,”The first time I heard First Ghost’s “Burnt Out,” I remember visualizing the lyrics as a story. I saw a kind, old man, reliving nostalgic memories in his senior years while considering what is worth letting go of, and what is worth holding on to.” With all of their skill and unique talent, there is no doubt that this group has succeeded in advancing their sound to a new, more professional level.

“Hit and Run” is the latest single from Parker Matthews who also just released a video for the track. Before I watched the pop newcomer’s video, I had to just listen to the song itself. “Hit and Run” is a bubblegum pop infused track with, of course, the perfect voice (Parker Matthews) to complete the song.
“Start it one-by-one, cuz’ this ain’t no hit and run,” Parker sings, proclaiming a love song for a special someone. With Parker’s high voice, catchy tune, and upbeat chorus, I soon found myself swaying by the end of the song. The second time I listened to the song I viewed the video for “Hit and Run.” Set in city night life and donned in an all black outfit (shades included), we see Parker walking up to an apartment for a house party. With a crowd dancing and Parker singing, he shows off his fierce dance moves and has no problems “feeling himself,” which adds to that “pop-party” vibe that the song encompasses.
Pop Dust, who premiered the video described “Hit and Run” as “decorated with sticky drum loops and fluorescent synth makeup, embodies classic dance music but dispatches a crucial, heart-pounding message.” Pop music, in its essence, is something you can dance to—but also be in your feelings about and “Hit and Run” definitely hits the nail on the head.

Payson Lewis just released the video for his latest single “When Love Was Young”. The video opens up to beach with a beautiful sunset, then cuts to Payson singing and playing piano in the living room. We then see Payson walking on the beach with a girl holding hands. “So you go go go back, when you love somebody— you let them get away, get away, but what’s done is never done,” sings Payson on “the one that got away.”
The video is touching, with the scenes of the beach and a happy couple reunited. The video for “When Love Was Young” is an acoustic version which gives us a glimpse at Payson Lewis’ talents which include his amazing and bone-chilling vocals and his ability to beautifully handle a piano. The video to “When Love Was Young” had me tearing up and I hope you find it equally as sweet!

San Diego/L.A. based two-piece Inspired & the Sleep has just dropped a brand new track called “First Time”. Inspired & the Sleep is made up of Max Greenhalgh (producer/singer-songwriter) and musician Bryce Outcault, accompanied by additional artists at times. Having just released a new song, Inspired & the Sleep looks to propel themselves into their musical future with a refined sound.
The band says of their new track:
“First Time” is a song I wrote at the start of a relationship. The song is about the very first time a couple catches themselves opening up to each other. I feel like when you’re alone for an extended period you tend to naturally become guarded just as a way of protecting yourself, but it takes even more strength to get to a point where you can let yourself love again. There are certain events that I recall in my life that have led me to where I am in life. “First Time” recollects an event where my ex got a DUI while I was in the car with her. Even though it was tragic event, it did end up bringing us closer together at the time.
The new track moves the listener across a floating soundscape anchored in a solid beat and highlighted by Greenhalgh’s vocals. Both vulnerable and strong, the track clearly displays the band’s ability to show a gentle side that is also confident. “First Time” is not a track to miss, so check it out today.

LA duo Dana and The Wolf – comprised of Dana Hobson and Daniel Wolf – are back again with their new single “Modern Midas”. The duo started off being friends for 10 years and then expanding into a polyamorous relationship. The band plans on breaking down societal stereotypes when it comes to relationships with their music.
Known for their unique branding and use of urban tinged electronic pop, Dana and The Wolf are back again to impress listeners with their new single “Modern Midas”, a song that is infectious. The track has a unique sound with stellar production quality and bright vocals. Their sound is unique and infectious and they display that best in “Modern Midas”.

Need a new love song to vibe to? Jackson Penn’s “Babylon” has got you covered. New York based producer and songwriter Jackson Penn’s single, “Babylon” is the upcoming new track from the producer-turned-singer.
Penn (aka Freddy Waxler) has written for and worked with Selena Gomez, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Kanye West, Vic Mensa and the likes, and has just started releasing music of his own. “Babylon”, a mellow, emotion-filled love song follows Penn’s debut single, “Streetlights on Mars”, which was well received on Spotify. After working with some big names in music, Penn is ready to share his own songs with the world, and we’re here for it. With lines like “I’d do anything to see you again”, Penn plucks heartstrings with every word. We have no doubt that Penn will be making a big name for himself, as he has for other artists.

Lowell returned earlier this month with her highly anticipated sophomore album Lone Wolf. The album is full of deep songs that show a reflection of being young and how powerful it is. The album takes over from the teenage perspective, showing the ups and downs in life. The tracks from the album vary from pop to dance floor music, proving that Lowell is here to make her mark in this generation of music.
One of the lead singles from the album is “War Face”. “War Face” puts Lowell’s powerful vocals at the forefront of the track along with the powerful lyrics she is singing. The song sounds like an anthem and will draw you in from the chorus and the wolf sound “howling” from the background. “War Face” is the perfect track for the album to open to, showing Lowell’s growth as an artist and what the album has to offer.
