Saturday, October 13th was a bit of a bummer for us. Sure, the sun was out and the weather was crisp and we were witnessing Minus The Bear‘s live stage show for the umpteenth time. But the reality of it was that we were seeing them for the last time, as they travel across the country on their farewell tour. We managed to capture the warmth and vibrance of their set the way they’ve captured our hearts.
If you can remember back to Boulevardia 2017, you may have been just as bummed out that you missed Guster due to the rain out as most. But — for those of us who didn’t chicken out and bail from heat exhaustion or thunderstorms — Guster regaled an infectiously energetic crowd in a parking garage. As immaculate as it was, it was amazing to have the band back in town for round two at Boulevardia 2018 so they could share their chops on stage with the masses. Thanks to Guster for making it back, and to Boulevardia for one insane weekend.
No Coast Criminals brought street punk to Vaudeville Mews in Des Moines on March 28th. Wrapping up a Midwest tour, the band unleashed their Oi! styling on a lively crowd. Keep up with them here.
On Saturday, February 24th, Judah & The Lion made a notable, sold out appearance at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City. The theater was packed from wall to wall, with people standing behind pillars just to be able to hear the entire set while catching a glimpse every once in a while. It was the most packed we have ever witnessed that venue.
